The audio post-production company has introduced a headphone-based platform designed to make remote sessions feel like sessions again
LONDON, UK. August 10th, 2026 – Boutique audio post-production company UFO has launched in London with the aim of making collaborative working easier.
Founded by composer and music supervisor Brice Cagan, UFO specialises in music composition, supervision and audio post for advertising, film and immersive content.
UFO approaches each project by finding its own sound, shaped around the idea, the director and the creative team. The process is deliberately open-door, bringing clients closer to the composers, musicians and engineers making the work — people who care deeply about the craft and are happiest in a dark studio surrounded by vintage synths, orchestral instruments and one cable nobody is allowed to move.
That same thinking led to UFO’s secure platform, Remote Studio Access, which is built around custom-calibrated headphones. The aim is to make it easier for producers, directors, creatives, composers, musicians and sound teams to work together from anywhere, without the session losing its energy.
Whether someone is on a shoot, in an edit suite, at home or somewhere between meetings pretending to read the deck properly, they can join the same working session and be part of the decisions as they happen.
Before a session, UFO sends clients their own set of headphones. They open a private link, enter a code, and join.
Picture and high-quality audio stay in sync, while video calling, chat, session view and file sharing all sit in one place. The headphones are designed so creative teams can hear the project at a trusted reference level, with the balance, detail and impact much closer to how it is being mixed and how the audience is meant to experience it.
“We built this platform because the best decisions happen when people feel properly involved in the session,” said Brice Cagan, founder of UFO.
“Ideas move quickly, the sound feels fully present, and everyone can stay close to the quality and energy of the session. That doesn’t always mean being in the same place. A director might be on a shoot, a creative might be at home, and we might be working with a specific vocalist in a different country. This keeps everyone connected without the setup becoming the main event.”
The platform can switch between a studio stereo mix setup, Atmos and cinema-style monitoring, as well as emulations of the devices people actually use, including televisions, earbuds, phones and tablets. For spatial and immersive projects, headphone-based monitoring and head tracking help clients follow movement, placement and scale rather than relying on a basic stereo fold-down.
Brice added: “The platform creates a remote system that keeps the process feeling live, focused and properly creative. Our view is that the work gets better when people can try new ideas quickly and enjoy the process – that is the point of doing this job in the first place.”
Brice Cagan has spent more than 15 years composing and supervising music in the US and UK. Before launching UFO, he was Head of Music at Machine Sound and Creative Director at Black and White Sounds. His work includes campaigns for McDonald’s, LEGO and Coca-Cola, along with projects across film, television, games and long-form content.
UFO also works closely with collaborators including Chris Southwell, a sound designer with over two decades of experience across advertising, broadcast and film. Southwell helped shape the platform around the real demands of music reviews, mix decisions, immersive projects and playback.
Julian Marshall will represent UFO for sales, bringing 30 years of advertising post-production experience across sound, editing and production.
Remote Studio Access is available for client sessions and demonstrations now.
