Victory Youth Group’s Mega Help event filled Finsbury Park’s Rainbow Theatre with live music, testimony and support for young people.
LONDON, UK. September 30th, 2026 – More than 1,000 young people gathered at the Rainbow Theatre in Finsbury Park this weekend for Mega Help, a battle of the bands event organised by the Victory Youth Group (VYG). The event brought together youth bands from London and the regions to compete for the top prize, while raising awareness of the mental health challenges young people face today.
A total of 1,042 young people attended the afternoon at the north London venue, which combined live performances with personal testimonies, prayer and a dedicated space for young people to talk about how they are feeling.
The afternoon opened with a performance from Vband, followed by the official opening and branch call-outs. Five bands then took to the stage, each representing young people from a different region: Eastern Gate (East London), Northern Cords (North London), West Assured (West London), Exhale (South London) and HORIZON, a group of young people from the regions outside London who came together as HORIZON for the event.
Alongside the music, the day featured films about the work of VYG, volunteer testimonies, prayer, and the Let It Out Corner, a space where young people could open up and receive support. A central moment came with the Mega Talk from Bishop Allan Passos, UK Head of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God, who spoke on the theme “You are unique!”, encouraging young people to recognise their individual worth.
The event reached its high point with the band competition, in which HORIZON were announced as the winners. The group closed the afternoon with an energetic performance of their winning song.
VYG, which organised the event, is the youth arm of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God, an international Evangelical Church.
Bishop Allan Passos, UK Head of the UCKG, said: “Every young person in the room on Saturday is unique and deeply valued. Our message was a simple one: you matter, you are not alone, and there is always help and hope. Events like Mega Help remind young people that whatever they are going through, support is there.”
A member of HORIZON, the winning group, said: “Winning today means a great deal to us, but the real win is being part of something that helps other young people feel seen. We hope our music reminds anyone who is struggling that they are not on their own.”
