LIVERPOOL, UK. October 8th, 2026 – Property training academy Lease Options Mastery, founded by one of the UK’s leading property entrepreneurs and investors Nicky Greer, has resumed its programme of live training events following a break of more than six months, marking a return to in-person education amid renewed interest in alternative property acquisition strategies.
The organisation hosted its first live event since the pause at Heathrow, London, in September and is scheduled to return for a further event in October. A Liverpool bootcamp is also planned later this year, representing the academy’s first training event in the North of England for almost two years.
The temporary suspension of live events followed a period of uncertainty across parts of the property sector and wider geopolitical concerns, which influenced the group’s event schedule. The return to face-to-face training comes as demand for property education continues to evolve, particularly among individuals seeking lower-cost routes into the market.
Founded by Greer, Lease Options Mastery focuses on educating aspiring property investors on lease option agreements, a strategy that allows control of a property through a contractual arrangement prior to purchase. The approach is often presented as an alternative to traditional property investment models that typically require substantial deposits and mortgage lending.
The academy’s three-day bootcamps cover a range of topics, including identifying motivated sellers, sourcing off-market opportunities, understanding lease option agreements in plain English and avoiding common mistakes made by first-time investors.
Greer said: “We are pleased to be returning to in-person events and giving people the opportunity to learn and connect over the course of a three-day programme. There remains significant interest in alternative property strategies, particularly from those who may have been excluded by some of the traditional barriers to entry.”
Alongside the return of live training, the academy has expanded its sourcing network through a new agreement designed to provide access to investment opportunities below prevailing market values. According to the company, the arrangement is intended to give members greater access to property opportunities while complementing the educational elements of the training programme.
For those unable to attend in person, the organisation will continue to deliver its regular monthly online training sessions, providing ongoing access to education and support remotely.
The business is also continuing to explore opportunities outside the UK. Over the past year, Greer has assessed a number of international markets and identified Florida as an area of particular interest for future expansion after exploring alternative growth opportunities beyond the Middle East.
“We see potential for the lease option model in a number of overseas markets, and Florida is one area we will continue to explore. It represents an interesting opportunity as we develop our international presence,” Greer said.
Closer to home, Greer has welcomed recent government reforms relating to Empty Dwelling Management Orders (EDMOs). The changes are expected to reduce the period a property must remain vacant before local authorities can intervene, enabling councils to bring long-term empty homes back into use more quickly.
EDMOs allow councils to take over the management of vacant residential properties and return them to occupation while ownership remains with the property owner. Supporters of the reforms argue that the changes could increase housing supply, reduce neighbourhood blight and help tackle long-standing issues surrounding empty homes.
Greer said: “Reducing the qualifying period for EDMOs from two years to six months has the potential to unlock significant housing stock that would otherwise remain unused. For property investors and local authorities alike, it creates opportunities to bring empty homes back into productive use while helping address local housing demand. It is an area we expect to become increasingly important over the next 12 months.”
In response to the reforms, Lease Options Mastery has updated elements of its training programme to include guidance on EDMOs and the role investors may play in helping to return unused housing stock to the market.
As the academy resumes its nationwide events programme, the focus remains on practical property education, market awareness and emerging opportunities across both domestic and international property sectors. With further events planned throughout the year, the organisation expects continued engagement from individuals seeking alternative pathways into property investment in an increasingly challenging housing market.
