Overseas TCG Sales Ratio Projected to Exceed 50%
TOKYO, JAPAN. July 10th, 2026 ― Bushiroad Inc. today announced the establishment of two new overseas group companies as part of its long-term strategy to accelerate global growth and strengthen its international Trading Card Game (TCG) business.
The expansion coincides with the worldwide launch of the Palworld OFFICIAL CARD GAME, which will debut simultaneously in Japanese, English and Simplified Chinese on July 30, 2026.
Together, these initiatives are expected to drive overseas TCG sales to account for more than 50% of the company’s total TCG revenue for the first time in its history during the fiscal year ending June 2027.
Guided by its mission to deliver excitement to audiences around the world, Bushiroad has identified global expansion as a key pillar of its Medium-Term Vision 2030. While maintaining a stable business foundation in Japan, the company is investing in high-growth international markets to achieve sustainable long-term growth.
To expedite building a sales network and improve marketing capabilities, Bushiroad will establish new group companies in Malaysia and China, bringing its total number of overseas group companies to seven.
The expanded international network will enable the company to implement optimized business operations tailored to the market environment of each region.
Bushiroad Asia Inc. has established a new subsidiary in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Drawing on Bushiroad Asia’s operational expertise, implement optimized sales and distribution strategies to support the continued growth of the Malaysian market in the coming years.
In China, Bushiroad will shift its Simplified Chinese TCG business to a locally manufactured and distributed model. Moving beyond its traditional export-based approach will shorten lead times and reduce logistics costs.
The launch of the Palworld OFFICIAL CARD GAME represents a major milestone in Bushiroad’s international strategy. The first booster set, Dawn of Palpagos, is currently projected to exceed 3.5 million packs, reflecting a strong start.
Ahead of the global rollout, Bushiroad staff have visited approximately 400 card game stores and event venues across more than 18 countries and regions, hosting pre-release events and tutorial workshops to introduce players to the game.
The game was also showcased at Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles, held from July 2–5, and will feature at Bushiroad’s Card Game Festival events in Singapore and South Korea this August. Across these events, Bushiroad expects approximately 15,000 participants worldwide.
The company will continue to actively exhibit at and participate in major events both in and outside of Japan going forward. The goal is to establish Palworld OFFICIAL CARD GAME as a sustainable TCG brand that contributes to steady long-term revenue, rather than being a temporary trend.
Driven by these initiatives, Bushiroad projects that overseas sales will account for more than half of its TCG business during the fiscal year ending June 2027, marking a significant milestone in the company’s history.
The company has transitioned into a new phase of adapting its business model that was built in the Japanese market, to the global market.
Moving forward, Bushiroad will sequentially accelerate the global expansion of not only its TCG business but also other businesses within the group, striving for solid financial growth and enhanced corporate value.
