Model takes on Gordon Ramsay’s famous beef wellington and tells top chef to ‘watch out’
PHILADELPHIA, USA, 7 December 2023 – A model has shared her recipe for a mouthwatering beef wellington and claims it is “better” than Gordon Ramsay’s.

Samantha Gangewere previously hit the headlines after her foot pictures went viral –  causing a wave of “foot fetish” fans to flock to her page.

The 31-year-old, who boasts two million followers on Instagram, (@thatboostedchick), quickly saw a boost in popularity online.

Now, the model has moved onto pastures new by launching her very own steak restaurant, The Orchid Steakhouse and she’s taking on one of Britain’s top chefs.

In a clip, she shares how to create the iconic beef wellington, starting out with a warning to the Hell’s Kitchen star and restaurateur, saying “Watch out Gordon Ramsay, I’m coming for you”.

In a bid to make her dish one-of-a-kind, the model uses her “secret” weapon: an 8oz A5 Japanese Wagyu filet mignon.

The model begins seasoning the meat with a hefty pinch of sea salt and fresh ground black pepper, before pan searing the steak for one minute on each side. She then adds some extra herbs, including rosemary and thyme, for a pop of flavour and then brushes the meat with dijon mustard. After that, the chef layers prosciutto di Parma and mushroom duxelles onto pastry to make a “bed” for the steak.

She advises brushing the edges with an egg yolk so that the parcel sticks together and then wraps it up, adds sesame seeds and another touch of salt, before popping the beef into the oven for 15 minutes at 375 degrees.

Samantha recommends serving the masterpiece with a touch of rich mushroom au Poivre sauce – and bon appétit.

“OK Gordon Ramsay, tell me, is mine better than yours?,” she says at the end of the clip, offering a challenge to the celebrity chef. She then devours the dish and says it’s not for sharing.

The model, from Pennsylvania, US, has previously turned heads after making a statement during the pandemic in the middle of Times Square, New York City.

She held up a sign that read: “Wash your damn hands” while sporting a mask – and a skimpy orange swimsuit.
