LONDON, UK. February 20th, 2026 – A pioneering consultancy, Human-ifesto, has been launched by Matt Jones to help UK businesses meet their neurodiversity legal obligations, following the introduction of the Mental Health Act of 2025.
This new legislation places mental health on equal footing with physical health in the workplace, making compliance and early intervention a priority for organisations across the country.
Human-ifesto is the first UK consultancy dedicated to guiding businesses through the evolving landscape of neurodiversity requirements. The Mental Health Act of 2025 has brought mental health into sharper focus, mandating proactive, reasonable adjustments to prevent crises and ensure compliance. Crucially, this extends to employees who have yet to receive a formal diagnosis.
Matt Jones, who has ADHD and has faced mental health challenges in his own career, recognised a gap in business awareness and response to neurodiversity obligations. His experience inspired the creation of both the consultancy and a podcast, also named Human-ifesto, to foster discussion and raise awareness around neurodiversity.
The consultancy offers a repeatable, defensible system for organisations that is embedded through workshops for HR departments and managers, focusing on the legal framework, governance, and compliance. Human-ifesto plans to introduce a certification process, enabling companies to achieve full compliance after an audit. This initiative aims to set a new standard for mental health obligations in the workplace.
“We start with the basic manager frameworks, as this stabilises decision-making and helps prevent issues day-to-day. But then you have to make sure you meet the governance and compliance perspective at the HR level and are doing everything you need to do legally. I will go into businesses and imbed a repeatable, defensible, end-to-end system that connects HR and managers with a shared language that reduces decision variance and facilitates consistency.” said Matt Jones, founder of Human-ifesto.
“Mental health challenges come in many forms, from temporary stress to conditions such as ADHD, autism, bipolar, and dyslexia. Once we imbed the system, companies will be fully compliant, and that is where we want to be – we want people to recognise their mental health obligations. Most organisations aren’t exposed because they don’t care, they’re exposed because decisions vary under pressure.”
As UK businesses adapt to new legal expectations, Human-ifesto stands at the forefront, offering expertise and practical solutions to ensure compliance and foster healthier, more productive and inclusive workplaces. The consultancy’s certification process is set to become a benchmark for neurodiversity governance in the UK.
