The first and only fashion retail pavilion at LDB, spotlighting independent fashion designers and sustainable fashion.
LONDON, UK. June 9th, 2025 — Teplo, a concept platform championing over 100 independent designers, is proud to announce its collaboration with the 2025 London Design Biennale with a special Silk Road pop-up in Somerset House. This marks the first time fashion retail has presented in the London Design Biennale.
Founded by Charos and Timur Kamalov, Teplo reflects a deep commitment to elevating the voices of local artisans and emerging designers on a global stage.
“Our goal is to give exposure to local independent designers, support and promote sustainable fashion.” said Charos.
“We want to give those designers access to different markets and help to strengthen their competitive advantage” added Timur.
In a historic first, Teplo Store is the only fashion retail pavilion permitted to sell onsite at the Biennale. It provides opportunities to 15 independent fashion designers with 95% of brands led by women. Experimental collaboration is a contribution towards supporting independent designers in overcoming market challenges.
A series of activities such as workshop and panel discussion are planned during the Biennale period to increase awareness of challenges independent designers face.
