KENT, UK. February 19th, 2026 – Kent-based Cleaning with Meaning, founded by Kelly Moore in 2021, is entering its fourth year with a record of steady growth and a commitment to sustainability. As the business approaches a milestone of ten employees and over 100 contracts, Kelly is preparing to expand into the education and healthcare sectors, aiming to bring her eco-friendly approach to new audiences.
Kelly’s journey began with a pivotal career change. Formerly working in healthcare and community roles, she faced the challenges of balancing work as a single parent in her forties.
A chance opportunity – a cleaning job found via Facebook – became the catalyst for a new direction. Kelly’s skills and leadership quickly led her to oversee staff, and in 2021, she launched her own business with a clear vision: to operate sustainably and make a positive impact on both people and the planet.
From its inception, Cleaning with Meaning has used only sustainable products, and in the early days many developed by Kelly herself. The company’s mantra, “Looking after our planet one clean at a time,” reflects a deep commitment to environmental responsibility. Kelly said: “A sustainable route is one we will always be on with this company, because I’m really passionate about the planet and people.”
Now, with more than 100 contracts and a growing team, Kelly is shifting focus from hands-on cleaning to business development. She is actively pursuing opportunities in schools and healthcare facilities, believing these sectors are ideal for her company’s sustainability message.
“I am talking to a school about a big new contract that would really be taking us into new territory, but what better place than education to grasp our message of sustainability, I really believe that is an ideal place,” Kelly added.
The business is on the verge of employing ten staff – a significant achievement for any small enterprise. Kelly said: “I could not have imagined it, but we will soon have 10 employees. This is just the start – I am so passionate about helping people.”
Beyond business growth, Kelly is a strong advocate for her local community. She regularly supports individuals from similar backgrounds and recently spoke at a Job Centre event, inspiring women to return to work. This outreach has become a new passion, as Kelly said: “I love getting up and speaking. There were more than 70 in attendance and explaining my journey to them just felt wonderful. If I can show them how I achieved this, show them it can be done, I would love to be able to bring that message to so many people.”
As Cleaning with Meaning enters its fourth year, Kelly’s focus remains on sustainable growth, community engagement, and expanding into new sectors. Her story demonstrates how a commitment to environmental responsibility and social impact can drive business success and inspire others. With plans to reach new markets and empower more people, Kelly’s journey continues to set an example for sustainable entrepreneurship in the UK.
