LONDON, UK. September 4th 2025 – A new group of independent doctors has launched the Medical Fitness to Drive Consultancy (MFTDC) to support drivers and businesses across the UK with medical assessments required by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA). The service, available now, offers drivers clear guidance on medical fitness to drive, helping them retain or regain their licences.
MFTDC provides online consultations, vocational driver medicals, and training for individuals and organisations. Services include:
· Online e-Consultations – online appointments for individual drivers to advise on DVLA medical requirements to be met for medical conditions .
· D4 Exams / Group 2 Medicals – Medical examinations for HGV and PCV drivers, including vision assessments. Available in Cardiff, Bristol, Swansea, and Birmingham. Appointments available 7 days a week in Cardiff clinic.
· Training & Education – Bespoke training sessions for drivers, clinicians, and businesses on UK medical driving standards.
