GLASGOW, UK. July 1st, 2025 – Glasgow karting sensation Jack Marshall has capped an amazing 6 months by joining GB4 team Pace Performance and has started formal training for a race drive in 2026. He is aiming to translate his success on the karting circuit to single seater racing and follow his mentors into F3 and F2 in the coming seasons.
A diehard motorsport fan, Jack has always held an ambition to move as high as possible up the single seater racing ladder. He has raced karts on a recreational and semi competitive basis from a young age, moving on to sim racing at the outset of the global pandemic in 2020. Upon leaving school he decided to move back onto the track and at the start of 2025 decided to test his skills at his local karting circuit. From that first session his talent was clear to see, and he was immediately granted a BIKC licence and entry into their Elite racing series.
Teamsport Karting Chief Instructor Aidan Stewart said: “It was clear from the early sessions that Jack had an exceptional talent, but also the drive to improve every time he went on the track. I am not surprised that he has been picked up by a racing team, and am looking forward to following his career up the Formula ranks.”
From that point forward, the path to success was rapid. After being 10th in February and 5th in March, Jack drove the overall fastest lap of the circuit in April, beating the established Elite competitors with years of track knowledge. His performance in the Elite series was even more impressive, finishing third in the overall standings despite missing the first two races on the calendar.
Jack’s next target is his debut in the BIKC championships, the finals of which are held in Warrington in November, with local qualifying currently ongoing at Teamsport Clydebank. On Sunday Jack managed to achieve a lap time which is quicker than the current leading average, but in a highly competitive field he does not expect that to last.
Jack said: “There are some very strong racers in Clydebank, and we are always pushing each other to go faster. I think I’ve still got work to do to get the fastest qualifying time but looking forward to the challenge.”
His karting success has not gone unnoticed, and following interest from a number of GB4 teams he has joined Pace Performance as an Academy driver with a view to a race seat in 2026. Pace are making their debut in GB4 in 2025 having previously raced in the Ginetta Juniors championship. Team owner Sean Byrne said: “We have been excited by what we have seen from Jack, and are looking forward to seeing him in our car next year alongside our other drivers to continue to push Pace Performance towards the top of the GB4 grid.”
In preparation for next season, Jack is currently being trained by renowned motorsport coaching company Kokoro Performance. His coaches include 2024 F2 Monaco Grand Prix winner Zak O’Sullivan and former F3 driver Johnathan Hoggard.
Johnathan said: “It’s been a pleasure to work with Jack so far in his early development for single seater racing. We have been impressed by Jack’s determination to improve and therefore how quickly he has been able to learn about the differences from karting. We are looking forward to seeing how he develops further and get him ready for a full racing programme in 2026.”
Jack’s mission is a simple one – unlike many of his contemporaries he has not come from a motorsports background and has no family wealth to rely on, so he is relying purely on talent, hard work and a willingness to improve and push himself to be the best driver he can be. Having achieved incredible results in the first six months of his elite career, the sky is the limit for this talented and popular young man as he follows his ambition to be the next British racing superstar.
