LONDON UK, October 14th 2025 – Harjinder, a former CNC Technician now residing in England, has entered the literary scene with his debut book, a touching narrative that reflects the universal challenges of leaving home, adjusting to different cultures, and discovering one’s place in the world.
The story centers on Ajay, a young boy who enjoys fourteen happy years in his village, surrounded by family, friends, and the beauty of a simple life. At the age of fourteen, he makes the life-changing decision to join his father in England.
Suddenly, Ajay finds himself navigating the realities of a British secondary school, unfamiliar customs, and the struggles of early adulthood. His journey becomes one of bravery, nostalgia, and self-discovery.
Harjinder’s first book delivers a poignant portrayal of what it means to hold onto one’s roots while embracing an uncertain future. Combining emotion, cultural reflection, and the timeless theme of resilience, this story will resonate with anyone who has faced the difficulties of change or sought to reconcile their identity between two cultures.
“Ajay’s journey demonstrates the bravery it takes to break free from everything familiar and start over,” says Harjinder. “I wanted to write a story that speaks not only to those who have experienced migration but also to anyone who has ever had to adapt, persevere, and grow.”
The novel reflects Harjinder’s own depth of life experience. A proud “jack of all trades,” he has worked as a CNC Technician, auto mechanic, and skilled DIY enthusiast, repairing everything from boilers to household appliances.
Now retired, he enjoys a fulfilling life in England with his wife, savoring time with their adult children and grandchildren. Outside of writing, he can be found swimming, playing darts, traveling — especially on cruises — or enjoying leisurely walks. He often credits his wife’s home-cooked meals as one of life’s greatest pleasures.
This debut novel marks an exciting new chapter in Harjinder’s journey, adding storytelling to the long list of passions that define his life.
The book is available now in both print and digital formats through major online retailers, including Amazon (www.Amazon.co.uk/dp/1636409369). It is also registered with Gardners Books, a leading wholesaler.
