- New 6,000 sq ft headquarters in Warwick’s Heathcote Industrial Estate becomes Raeon’s new primary manufacturing hub.
- Facility established to deliver production-grade custom battery packs for the Niche Automotive, Marine, Defence, Aerospace, ESS, Restomod, and Motorsport sectors.
- Expansion cements Raeon’s commitment to British engineering, retaining R&D in Oxfordshire while scaling production in the heart of the UK’s automotive valley.
- Proprietary “FloLock™” manufacturing line unlocks custom battery production in just 12 weeks, removing the barriers of high tooling costs and long lead times.
Warwick, UK. February 9th, 2026 – Raeon, a leading innovative UK custom battery manufacturer, today announces the opening of its new flagship headquarters and manufacturing centre in Warwick. This strategic expansion marks a major maturation for the business, transitioning from prototype assembly to a scalable production footing to support the UK’s diverse specialised vehicle sectors.
While the global battery market races to serve mass-market automotive giants, the “aggregate niche”—comprising manufacturers of specialised vehicles across Defence, Marine, Aerospace, and Motorsport—has largely been underserved, priced out by development costs often exceeding £2 million per battery design.
Raeon’s new 6,000 sq ft facility at Harriott Drive directly addresses this gap. The site houses Raeon’s proprietary FloLock™ manufacturing line, a unique resin encapsulation process that enables the production of robust, thermal-managed batteries of almost any shape and size without expensive injection-moulding tooling. This approach cuts development costs by over 70% and reduces prototype lead times to as little as 12 weeks.
The opening of the Warwick facility is a statement of intent for the UK supply chain. By retaining its original engineering hub near Witney, Oxfordshire, for pure R&D and establishing production in the “Golden Triangle” of UK engineering, Raeon is ensuring that British manufacturers have a domestic source for high-performance, custom energy storage.
Murray Schofield, CEO and Co-Founder of Raeon, said:
“For too long, innovative UK manufacturers in sectors like Marine, Defence, and Niche Automotive have been forced to compromise—either buying off-the-shelf batteries that don’t fit their products or facing unpalatable costs for bespoke development. Our new Warwick facility changes that. By industrialising our FloLock™ technology here in the West Midlands, we are proving that you don’t need to be a mass-market giant to get the perfect battery. This facility is about unlocking electrification for the rest of the market and doing it right here in Britain.”
Tom Brooks, COO and Co-Founder of Raeon, added:
“Expanding our operations into this new facility represents a huge step forward for Raeon. We are moving to a semi-automated production environment capable of supporting our customers from their first prototype all the way through to series production. Whether it is high-performance Motorsport, ruggedised Defence applications, or next-generation Aerospace, this site gives us the capacity to deliver. It provides the supply chain security that is critical for the growth of the UK’s green economy.”
The facility is already operational, delivering orders to customers across the Niche Automotive, Marine, Defence, Aerospace, ESS, Restomod, and Motorsport sectors, both in the UK and overseas.
