Suffolk, UK. June 13th 2025 – British entrepreneur and lifelong e-skater James Finch-Knightley has announced the official launch of PevClean, the UK’s first waterless cleaner and nano protector developed specifically for personal electric vehicles (PEVs).
With the rise in use of electric skateboards, scooters and bikes, riders have long lacked a dedicated maintenance product suited to the demands of modern PEVs. Traditional cleaners often pose risks to electronic components or lack the durability to protect against harsh road conditions. PevClean was developed to bridge this gap.
After two years of research and real-world testing, the all-in-one solution is now available to riders in the UK and internationally.
“I built PevClean because nothing out there respected the electronics, paintwork, or design of my boards. It was either too harsh, too weak, or just not made for the way we ride,” said Finch-Knightley, who’s been riding e-skates for over a decade. “Now, we’ve created something from the community, for the community.”
PevClean is a spray-on, wipe-off formula that requires no water, reducing the risk of corrosion or electronic damage.
The solution is safe for use on paintwork, plastics, carbon fibre, grip tape, wood, and sensitive internal electronics. It also provides a nano-coating to help protect against future grime, moisture, and road salt.
Development of the product began in a Suffolk garage and included extensive testing across diverse UK terrains.
Finch-Knightley, alongside his partner Rebecca, also an experienced e-skater. trialled multiple prototypes through group rides, trade shows, and coastal routes. Early user feedback highlighted the product’s cleaning power and electronic safety.
Now officially launched, PevClean is available in a 500ml bottle at an RRP of £14.00 at www.pevclean.com/shop, with free UK shipping and international orders accepted.
The company is also accepting international orders, influencer partnerships, and retail stockist inquiries.
PevClean is targeted specifically at urban commuters, outdoor explorers, and everyday riders seeking an efficient, electronics-safe cleaning solution.
