The Telford-based tech company announced the exciting sponsorship last week.
Telford, UK. 9th December 2025 – Lease Loop, a Telford-based Mac and Apple leasing specialist, has announced its sponsorship of Rugby Borough Women’s Football Club (RBWFC), backing first-team and Wales National Team goalkeeper Poppy Soper.
The sponsorship came about as a way to give back to Lewis Taylor, a long-standing Lease Loop client who uses their services across his five businesses, including Energy Angels, Halo Detailing, an investment firm, and a garage.
With Lewis also owning Rugby Borough Women’s Football Club, Lease Loop saw the opportunity to sponsor a first-team player as a meaningful way to thank a valued client for years of trust and support.
“Our purpose is to help inspiring individuals and independent businesses achieve their missions,” say James and Danni, Lease Loop founders. “Leasing solutions help, sure – but it’s the networking, relationship building, and connecting with their purpose that makes it all worth it for us. Sponsoring Poppy and RBWFC aligns with our personal and professional ideals.”
The choice to back an independent women’s football club held particular importance for the founders, whose daughter’s involvement in the sport has made them aware of the challenges around access and development.
Poppy Soper is first team goalkeeper for RBWFC, who currently compete in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division – the third tier of professional women’s football.
In addition to her club career, Poppy also competes for Wales on the international stage, having represented her country since the U15s.
Unlike other teams in their league and above, the club is not supported by a parent club, leaving them without the significant financial resources available to larger, affiliated teams.
Building a sustainable business model, climbing the women’s football pyramid and staying there is no mean feat – as Max Turner, RBWFC CEO, knows all too well:
“It’s been a great privilege to help RBWFC move forward. The truth is that, while I’ve always been a football enthusiast (heavy on the enthusiasm, low on the skill), my role within the club focuses on developing the business model. It soon became apparent to me that the currency at Rugby Borough isn’t just in pounds and pence – it’s in knowing that we are doing something good, that I’m helping to give opportunities to athletes who are so deserving and have worked so hard.
Currently RBWFC sit at position 3 of the league table, just a few points off an automatic promotion place.
“We’re incredibly proud to sponsor Poppy and support Rugby Borough Women’s Football Club,” adds James. “This sponsorship is about giving back to Lewis, supporting independent women’s football, and helping talented athletes like Poppy get the recognition they deserve.”
