DEVON, UK. April 2nd, 2026 – Houseplant.co.uk has broken down its indoor plant delivery data by region for the first time, based on data from over 350,000 indoor plant deliveries and 5,750 customer reviews.
London’s top seller is the Areca Palm, with the Boston Fern close behind. Manchester buys more Swiss Cheese Plants than anywhere else. Bristol is split between the Boston Fern and Swiss Cheese Plant. Glasgow mirrors London with the Areca Palm, while Edinburgh goes its own way with the Radiator Plant ‘Hope’, a compact option that copes well with less light.
Oxford has developed a taste for the Wandering Dude Nanouk, a trailing plant that does well on Instagram. Leeds is buying String of Turtles in high numbers, while Liverpool has become a stronghold for the Venus Fly Trap.
Rebecca Tapper, founder of Houseplant.co.uk, said: “The Areca Palm being on top isn’t a shock. It sells out constantly and has done for months. But Liverpool and carnivorous plants? That one we didn’t see coming. When you’ve got data from 350,000 deliveries, it throws up things you’d never guess.”
The company has doubled in size year on year and says that growth is still picking up, which it claims stems from customer feedback. The team went through over 7,000 customer emails and contact points earlier this year and made changes off the back of it, including pot suggestions at checkout and a better search function.
Houseplant.co.uk has also published a 1000-article plant care library where customers can search in plain English, asking questions the way they’d ask a friend rather than using botanical terms.
Houseplant.co.uk has delivered over 350,000 houseplants to homes across Britain and holds over 5,750 verified customer reviews. To find out more, visit houseplant.co.uk.
