Skelmersdale, UK. March 30th, 2026 – The Secret Garden Glamping has announced the launch of its first international site, with a new location opening in Ireland in February 2026.
The business first gained national attention following an appearance by founder Derry Green on Dragons’ Den in early 2024. During the episode, Green presented a glamping business operating at full occupancy with a reported two-year waiting list.
All five investors on the programme made offers, with Green ultimately securing a £100,000 investment from Deborah Meaden.
Since the broadcast, the company has expanded its UK footprint, with sites in Lancashire, Cornwall and Devon. The business now operates a total of 22 units across five locations.
The new Irish site represents the company’s first move outside the UK. The location launched with three units, with further development expected.
Green said: “The Den was a turning point for us. It wasn’t just about the investment, it helped bring wider attention to what we had built. Expanding into Ireland is the next step for the business.”
The company said each unit at the new site has been designed to offer private outdoor space and self-contained accommodation. Features include hot tubs, outdoor screens and fully fitted interiors.
Since the televised investment, the business has received professional recognition, including being named “UK Camping, Glamping & Holiday Park of the Year” at the Visit England Awards. Founder Derry Green was also named among the Top 50 Entrepreneurs by The Times. The operational team includes site manager Andy Reade, who was recently awarded the “Unsung Hero” title at the Lancashire Tourism Awards.
