London, UK. June 18, 2025 Exposure Ninja CEO Charlie Marchant participated in the Better Business Day at the House of Commons, representing the agency alongside other purpose-driven brands.

The event featured impactful talks from Mary Portas OBE and B Lab’s CEO, Chris Turner, as part of the campaign to support the Better Business Act, a push to amend UK company law so directors must weigh people, planet, and profit equally.

According to research shared by B Lab ahead of Better Business Day, 76% of the UK public agree that businesses should have a legal duty to consider people and the planet, alongside profit, in every business decision.

Last week’s event showcased forward-thinking businesses and policy experts discussing how the Act would change UK commerce. Panel discussions hosted by B Lab UK focused on making better business the norm, not the exception.

Exposure Ninja has been an early supporter of the Better Business Act, which is set to be presented to Parliament in July, and continues to advocate for purpose to be embedded in business decisions. The Act would reshape Section 172 of the Companies Act, legally requiring firms to balance social and environmental impact with shareholder returns.

“Exposure Ninja supports the Better Business Act because it gives legal backing to what we already believe — that business should serve people, planet, and profit,” says Charlie. “The change to Section 172 matters because if business decisions are driven by profit alone, we risk undermining the creation of a fair and equitable society. This is a global issue — one that affects our climate, communities, and ecosystems. Embedding this responsibility into law is a necessary step for the future of humanity.”
