NORWICH, UK. February 23rd, 2026 – EmotionalSkillsOnline.com, co-founded by CEO Sonya Bell and renowned psychotherapist Shane Lutkin, has launched a pioneering 52-week online psychotherapy programme.
Designed to transform mental health care, the course is the culmination of over two years of development, offering accessible and affordable support to adults across the UK and beyond.
The programme, costing less than £15 per session, enables members to progress at their own pace through weekly video sessions led by an experienced psychotherapist. The subscription model allows flexibility, with options for monthly, six-monthly, or annual payments. Each week, a new session is released, guiding participants through a structured journey of self-discovery and emotional skill-building.
The concept originated from a face-to-face course run by Shane Lutkin since 2013. The shift to an online format was inspired by the need for accessible mental health support post-COVID, and the programme’s launch marks a significant milestone in digital psychotherapy. “We are now here, two-years later, we’ve co-written the program together. Everything in it is absolutely psychotherapy based, no AI whatsoever in any of it,” said Sonya Bell.
Unlike crisis support services, EmotionalSkillsOnline.com targets individuals experiencing low confidence, low self-esteem, or those seeking guidance for personal growth. “This is not crisis support. It’s more about low confidence, low esteem, and people feeling overwhelmed. They need a bit of help and the programme is something that helps you understand why you are feeling that way,” Sonya added.
The course encourages participants to complete the full 52-week journey, providing tools and techniques to address underlying issues and foster lasting change. “We encourage everyone to see the whole journey because it might be that you’ve got low confidence. But where does that come from? And so it’s a journey it takes you right from the start and hopefully gives you tools and techniques all the way along to kind of look at each issue and think, well I’m okay with that,” Sonya said.
EmotionalSkillsOnline.com also offers face-to-face options and maintains an approachable presence through social media, inviting questions and providing support. Members gain access to exclusive blogs and a comprehensive knowledge resource, with the first session – the “discovery session” – available for free. “Members don’t just get the sessions and the videos; they get access to blogs just for them and there’s a knowledge resource which is like an A to Z. The first session, the discovery, is free; you can watch it, try it and see if it is right for you,” Sonya said.
As the UK’s first online psychotherapy course of its kind, EmotionalSkillsOnline.com aims to set a new standard for accessible mental health care. With a forward-looking approach, the team continues to refine the programme, gather feedback, and expand resources, aiming to reach individuals and organisations seeking preventative, transformative support.
