PADSTOW, UK. September 29th, 2025 – Boulderflash, the UK-based climbing retailer, has launched its first physical store inside The Tide Climbing Centre in Padstow, Cornwall. The move introduces a new model for the sport: an established online retailer bringing its range directly into a climbing gym.
The shop carries leading climbing shoe brands including Scarpa, Unparallel, Red Chili, Tenaya and Evolv. Alongside this, customers will find specialist training equipment from Lattice Training and YY Vertical, plus a wide selection of accessories and gifts.
By combining online pricing and product variety with the convenience of in-gym shopping, Boulderflash offers climbers the chance to buy climbing shoes, training tools and accessories where they train. The approach supports independent centres, which often can’t stock a full range at competitive prices, by giving their communities access to more gear without the overhead of running a traditional retail operation.
Founder Mitch Singer said: “Independent climbing centres often can’t stock a full range of products at competitive prices. Our goal is to change that by blending the online and offline experience, giving climbers access to more gear where they climb.”
If successful, Boulderflash plans to expand this shop-in-gym model to centres across the UK. The launch is part of a wider mission to support climbing communities by making high-quality gear more accessible and reinvesting in the sport’s growth.
