NORTH EAST, UK. April 2nd, 2026 – Big Business Entrepreneurs (BBE), one of the UK’s leading business coaching organisations, is calling for more targeted support for small business owners across the North East.
The North East remains a region with enormous industrial heritage and untapped entrepreneurial potential, which BBE claims could be unlocked with greater support amongst businesses.
Despite its vibrant urban centres and advanced manufacturing strengths, the region hosts only 211,605 businesses, making it 11th out of 12 UK regions for business population.
Adam Stott, Founder of Big Business Entrepreneurs, said: “These figures underline the need for targeted support to help small firms grow, adopt digital monetisation strategies and build resilience.
“Business coaching, mentoring and strategic skills development could play a transformative role in enabling founders to scale, increase productivity and strengthen the regional economy, particularly in areas where business density remains low.”
Big Business Entrepreneurs (BBE), one of the UK’s leading business coaching organisations, says its programmes give founders the tools to overcome growth barriers, improve monetisation of social media, and modernise marketing approaches that drive revenue.
Adam Stott added: “Coaching accelerates learning, reduces the time wasted on trial and error, and helps entrepreneurs across the North East scale faster and more efficiently. This region has incredible people and potential – with structured support, thousands more could turn great ideas into thriving businesses.”
