The project is being led in collaboration with Dan Price, Cheshire Police and Crime Commissioner, and Esther Ghey, founder of the nationwide Phone Free Education campaign.
The move follows growing awareness of the harm caused by unchecked smartphone use in schools, including online bullying, disruption to learning, exposure to harmful content, and safeguarding incidents involving covert filming and social media sharing.
UK Phone Pouches was created specifically to give schools access to effective, affordable phone pouch solutions after years of witnessing, as parents, the challenges smartphones create for students and teachers.
For too long, many UK schools have been overcharged for basic pouches that often lack essential features such as signal blocking or anti graffiti protection.
