Prague Named New Hen Party Hotspot for 2013
Off Limits, one of the UK’s largest providers of hen parties, has recorded a boost in bookings for Prague hen weekends for 2013.
Staff at Off Limits identified several reasons for the sudden popularity of Prague hen parties. One of the main reasons was affordability. The country isn’t in the Euro yet, so essentials like food and drink are very cheap relatively speaking. Cheap flights are available from most major UK airports and centrally located hotels are really reasonably priced.
The second reason cited was the shopping possibilities. Wenceslas Square is teeming with shops and just a short walk away lies ‘Paris Street’ with its designer boutiques including Chanel, Dior and Prada. Cathy Alexander, PR for Off Limits, said: “Until now, Prague has been seen as the preserve of rowdy stag parties looking for cheap beer and strip clubs. Now they’ve largely departed in favour of locations like Riga and Sofia, the Czech capital has become more appealing to hen parties.
City breaks are becoming more and more popular, as groups increasingly look for affordable weekends away with lots to keep everyone entertained. Prague is teeming with shops, bars, clubs, restaurants and cultural attractions. There’s literally something for everyone, which makes it a winner with those trying to plan a weekend in a location that will keep all members of a group happy.”
Basic Prague hen weekend packages start from as little as £70 per person.
