Mike Dignam Supporting Gabrielle Aplin Ahead of UK Tour

Mike Dignam has announced a four-date UK tour starting next month, following his successful support of Lewis Watson in October.

The tour will also follow a special one-off support appearance with new sensation Gabrielle Aplin who has burst into the UK Chart top five with her stunning rendition of ‘The Power of Love’ – the soundtrack to John Lewis’ new Christmas TV advert.

Mike will be supporting Gabrielle at her sold-out gig at The Wardrobe in Leeds on November 15.

The singer songwriter will then headline his own tour which begins at Manchester’s Nexus Art Café on December 8 and culminates at The Louisiana in Bristol on December 12.

In between there will be appearances at The Rainbow in Birmingham and The Garage in London.

The tour announcement caps a hugely eventful few weeks for Mike following the launch of his new EP ‘Paint’ which has already received great acclaim.

After catching the eye of BBC Introducing, Mike happily accepted an invite to the studios at his regional station BBC Radio Lancashire to talk live on air about the EP and introduce his new track ‘Great Escape’.

The track has since been added to the BBC Radio Lancashire playlist.

Mike has also been buoyed by the response to his support of Lewis Watson on a sold-out UK tour which came to an end in London last week.

“Supporting Lewis on his tour was a fantastic experience and I just want to carry the momentum forward now into my headline shows,” Mike said.

Further encouragement came in the shape of a message from 2012 Brit Award Winner, Emeli Sande, who took the time to contact Mike personally via Twitter, tweeting ‘Beautiful cover’ after his take of her track ‘Wonder’ went viral on YouTube.

With the buzz building around Mike and his new EP, tickets to see the singer and his band are expected to sell fast. Tickets are now on sale at
