FLUID DESIGN SOLUTIONS COMPLETES WORK AT URBAN OVEN
Fluid Design Solutions has served up an innovative dining concept through its expert approach to design at a new Durham city centre eatery, Urban Oven. The company which specialises in inventive interior schemes for the leisure industry, including bars, nightclubs, restaurants and coffee shops, has created the interiors for the unique venue, which provides customers with a multipurpose location, offering a cafe style experience by day and a takeaway service by night.
Mr Sadeck Amin, owner of Urban Oven, said:
“Since developing the concept for Urban Oven, I have had a distinct idea of how I wanted the versatile restaurant to look and operate in keeping with its novel business offering. Fluid Design Solutions has gone beyond its requirements to bring this vision for Urban Oven to reality, and I am more than delighted with the results.”
Fluid Design Solutions created the distinctive interior for the restaurant by devising the new customer area, service counter and façade design in a dynamic and modern style in only six weeks. The furniture was chosen so that it can be cleverly stored away under fixed seating to ease the day to night transition process. Dave King, director of Fluid Design Solutions, said:
“We are extremely pleased with the outcome of Urban Oven, which offers a new concept for North East diners on the go. By working closely with Urban Oven to meet its both challenging and resourceful brief, the design has made great use of the limited amount of space available, and has totally transformed this commercial venue.” Urban Oven is located on Claypath, one of the oldest and most historic roads within the City of Durham, and recently opened on the last week of September. The extensive menu includes a lunch time selection of gourmet sandwiches and freshly made high quality fast food by night.
