HEREFORD, UK. August 28th, 2025 – When pet parent Jordan Ashford discovered that store-bought wax melts and air fresheners only masked odours rather than eliminating them, she set out to create something new. Now, with the launch of Ease-E Melts, she is bringing a fresh, pet-safe solution to homes across the UK.
Back in 2023, Jordan began experimenting with handmade wax melts after growing frustrated with mass-produced, chemically filled products on the high street. What started as a hobby soon became a passion. “I remembered something my dad always told me – ‘find a job that you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life’. For the first time, it really resonated. I knew this was what I wanted to do,” she said.
But the turning point came after walking her lemon beagle, Nala. “It poured down with rain and when we got home, the wet dog smell was unbearable,” Jordan added. “I lit one of my melts and while it masked the smell temporarily, the stench returned the next day. I realised I wasn’t solving the problem – and that’s when Ease-E Melts was born.”
Rebranding her early experiments into a business with a clear mission, Jordan developed a range of products that don’t just mask odours, but eliminate them safely and effectively. Inspired by Nala, Ease-E Melts focuses on simplicity and pet-safe ingredients – from wax melts that gently fragrance the room, to quick-use sprays and carpet fresheners that banish smells in minutes without harsh chemicals or scrubbing.
“The first time I tested my products, I knew I was onto something. The dog smell in the air was actually gone. For the first time, I felt relief and confidence in my home and that’s the feeling I want to give other pet parents,” said Jordan.
Ease-E Melts positions itself as more than a fragrance brand. Jordan describes it as “a loyal best friend for your home – playful, loving, reliable and a little cheeky. It’s about giving pet owners their home back, without embarrassment, anxiety, or the constant battle against odours.”
The launch comes at a time when pet ownership in the UK is at record levels, with an estimated 57% of households now owning a pet (Pet Food Manufacturers’ Association, 2024). A OnePoll survey for the Daily Express revealed that 23 per cent of Brits rank pet odours among the top 20 nastiest household smells, and further research by Yes Homebuyers found that 11 per cent of prospective buyers would even be put off purchasing an otherwise perfect home if it smelled of pets. With pet ownership in the UK continuing at record levels, the demand for products that can keep homes fresh safely is higher than ever.
Ease-E Melts is now available online at www.ease-emelts.com with a growing product range designed to support the needs of pet families.
