A new suite of signs has installed at the Chiltern Academy in Luton, which is opening its doors to the first intake of students in September. The mix of internal and external signs feature 3mm frosted lucite fitted to our patented Puzzle fixing system, and 4mm lucite that features on the general signs, directories, projecting signs and floor-level indicators. The patented Puzzle fixing system provides a secure locking mechanism to ensure the signs aren’t tampered with. The panels are interchangeable, offering flexibility for when room numbering changes or when teachers move classroom. The high-quality printing process, at 1800dpi, ensures excellent definition and clarity, perfectly suited for the school environment. We have also manufactured stainless steel FM tags that feature throughout.
To the external of the school, we’ve used the school’s crest in creating two external sign types to the external cladding and to the external brickwork. The Chiltern Academy school crest features as a 3mm coated aluminium sign to the brickwor. On the external cladding at the opposite end of the school, a 3mm brushed stainless steel sign with vinyl detail is in place. We have also made use of the external space by creating a branded totem sign at the front gate.
Key Account Manager, Matt Bush, lead on the project with Chiltern Academy and contractor, Wates. Matt said: “We are engaged with school sign projects up and down the country and proud to assist Chiltern Academy with their new school. Our sign products are well suited to schools, offering inclusivity and aesthetic design.”
