When water for drinking has become scarce, washing a Car with water has become a luxury and a waste of precious resource. Waterless car wash is becoming an alternative if not by choice as many Cities have banned Car washing centers using water followed by Apartment societies and commercial complexes.
Waterless car wash costs around INR 50 approx $0.75 per wash on an average. Which prevented a mass adoption of this system. A Chennai based company PROKLEAR which manufactures waterless car wash concentrates for the past 7 years, which costed INR 4 $0.05 per wash claims to have broken this price barrier further by 50% and introducing their 7th anniversary edition which will bring down cost per wash to INR 2 $0.025. The dilution ratio of Proklear waterless concentrate has been increased from 100 times to 200 times with no increase in selling price.
The product is being launced at Auto Mechanika 2019 Bengaluru on June 14. Their waterless products are top sellers in their respective categories in various ecommerce sites according to the company.
