“With Welfare Pharmacy being listed as one of the best in the area, at least we know that the work we have put in has received its deserved recognition, which nowadays comes by very few and far between,” he further explained.
Welfare Pharmacy was founded in 2011 by a group of young and aspiring pharmacists wanting to serve local communities and work towards revolutionising community pharmacy, making the shift to be more service orientated.
They work closely with the local public health team, and other healthcare professionals, doctors, dentists, and carers so patient safety is always upheld and remains the first priority. They strictly adhere to NHS, GPhC, Public Health England, and local commissioning guidelines at all times to ensure customer and employee safety. Even in the wake of the pandemic, they were quick to implement social distancing and PPE utilisation of all members of staff even before the government issued the safety guidelines.
Being a community pharmacy, they want to provide the best service all the time. And seeing their customers leave with a happy smiling face on a daily basis, indicating that they have received the care and service that they came for is what drives them and put a smile on their faces.
The pharmacists at Welfare Pharmacy recognise the need to access healthcare does not stop at sundown, or on weekends, hence they are committed to being open and accessible late nights and on weekends.
They value their customer’s feedback, reviews both online and on their social media platforms, and consider it as a ‘stamp of approval’ for their work. They feel that it gives them the affirmation that they are doing the right thing and motivates them to further improve themselves and find new ways to provide better care to their customers.
