Vintage 2000 AD Featuring First Judge Dredd Sells for Over £1000.
Galaxy’s greatest comic goes from strength to strength
London, UK (May 2019) – Vintage High Grade 2000AD Issue 2 featuring the 1st Judge Dredd and the original free gift (biotronic stickers) sold for over £1000 on ebay. The private collector, known as Jonnie SohCahToa, kept the comic issue in storage for over 30 years in their personal 2000AD and Judge Dredd collection.
“There is nothing I love more than 2000AD,” said Jonnie. ”It always brings me great pleasure to help fellow fans attain their perfect collection. The buyer actually got an amazing bargain. I’m so excited about the start-up I’m working towards and hope to hear from other friends of Tharg and Squaxx dek Thargos’

The demand for 2000AD issues is growing since the announcement of the Rogue Trooper film, Button Man and Judge Dredd Mega City One series. Plus Rebellion recently purchased a $100m property to use as a film studio.

2000 AD is a weekly British science fiction-oriented comic magazine. As a comics anthology it serialises stories in each issue (known as “progs”) and was first published by IPC Magazines in 1977, the first issue dated 26 February.
