Paddypowertrader.com gathers trading glitterati for night of trader insight.
London’s trading community was out in force tonight, Thursday 11th March as paddypowertrader.com held an event about High Performance Trading for traders and spread bettors. The event, High Performance Trading, organised by the financial spread betting arm of bookmaker Paddy Power, steered attendees away from the more banal trader subjects such as technical analysis and particular trading strategies. Instead speakers at the event focused on what might be thought of as the softer aspects of trading. Over 75 traders attended the event in One America Square Conference centre by London Wall in The City of London.
At the event, the keynote speaker was Steve Ward, a trading psychology coach and world expert on trader psychology. Ward started a lively discussion on dealing with the emotions of trading and how he believes improving your state of mind can improve your trading performance. Meanwhile also at the event was Lex van Dam, who is launching the Lex van Dam Trading Academy in the next few months, who knows firsthand what it takes for novice traders to succeed; and shared some of his insights by analysing the contestants of last years BBC2 series Million Dollar Traders. Which Way Todays Tom Hougaard spoke about how trading in front of hundreds of people every day in cyber space has sharpened his trading, and how, through his training programs, he has turned losing traders around.
It was a great evening of trading discussion and we are delighted to have managed to get so many great traders in one room. We are always keen to help traders meet the very best experts in the financial spread betting industry, said Davin McAnaney, Commercial Manager, www.paddypowertrader.com. We love the fact that events of this type also provides a rare opportunity for day-traders, many of who work from home, to share their views and experiences in informal surroundings, continued McAnaney.
Researching and informing yourself on the market conditions through events, blogging, tweeting or online tutorials seems to be among the most popular ways of growing profits in financial spread betting. This drive towards more education has helped us to develop tools. We are keen to help clients and those interested in financial spread betting to get better results, McAnaney concluded.
paddypowertrader.com launched in the summer of 2007 enabling clients to take advantage of the many benefits of financial spread betting, including being a taxfree alternative to trading shares and financial markets. The product continues to grow in popularity in the UK and Ireland, amongst not only financial industry professionals, but also amongst those with an interest in the stock market.
