The Way Ahead, an exhibition bridging War and Art Therapy
THE WAY AHEAD is a new exhibition opening THURS 13/08/2015 on War and the use of the Arts coming to THE CONFERENCE CENTRE at ST Pancras Hospital that brings together over 30 pieces of artwork from charities including COMBAT STRESS, STOLL , LONDON VETERAN SERVICES and THE ARMY ARTS SOCIETY who support veterans and serving men and women who experience warfare.
The Way Ahead will exhibit artwork produced by veterans and serving men and women in order to raise awareness about the struggles they face during war and peace as well as revealing the value of the arts as a therapeutic and healing form of practice.
THE WAY AHEAD opening night will have the pleasure of hosting two former soldiers now artists, narrating their powerful stories.
Among these artists , THE WAY AHEAD will include a showcase for the work of former Royal Highland Fusilier Michael Crossan and the opening night includes former SAS officer Steve Pratt and a performance linked to the transition of soldier to artist/art therapy.
