A film crew from Fuji TV in Japan visited Blue Indigo Gallery in Teignmouth today (12th) to film for part of a travel series called Eurotrain.
The program has been running in Japan for 10 years and features railway journeys from all over Europe.
This episode, which will be broadcast in June, is taking a trip from Exmouth to Paignton with various stops along the way, including Teignmouth.
The program makers were interested in Blue Indigo as they actively promote local Teign Valley and Devon based artists and craftspeople. As well as filming in the gallery they also visited the studio of Michelle Wilcox a local mosaic artist who’s work is on display in Blue Indigo.
Catherine Kennedy from Blue Indigo said "We were approached by a researcher a few weeks ago as they had seen our website www.BlueIndingoGallery.co.uk and were impressed by the depth of talent on display. They also asked if we could arrange for them to see a local artist at work and we were only too happy to put them in touch with Michelle"
Blue Indigo opened in November 2009 at 1 Little Triangle in Teignmouth and has a wide range of Arts and Crafts including paintings, prints, glassware, pottery, ceramics and mosaics from many Devon based artists.
