Some major projects include thermal projects include Trombay, Jojobera, Haldia, Jamshedpur, Maithon and Mundra, hydro stations in Khopoli, Bhira and Bhivpuri in Maharashtra, commissioning over 4000 MW at a single location in Mudra station 

Mundra Ultra Mega Power Plant, Gujarat

The third-largest thermal power plant in India commissions over 4000 MW of power supply. It is a coal-fired power plant built in the March of 2009  at Kutch district of Gujarat and operated by Coastal Gujarat Power Limited (CGPL).

 The thermal power plant consists of five 800 MW generating units and the first unit was commissioned in March 2012, while the last unit was commissioned in March 2009.

The plant approximately uses 12 billion tonnes of imported coal per annum.

Maithon Power Limited 

A joint venture with DVC and Tata Power-DDL has implemented 1050 MW coal-based thermal power plant in Jharkhand. The project is India’s very first 525 MW thermal power plant using subcritical technology, and the first PPP venture plant in the country.

It caters to almost 16 million consumers, apart from competitive power supplies to industry and agriculture power to New Delhi, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Kerala

The Trombay Thermal Power Station

Installed generation capacity of 1580 MW, this plant is located in Mumbai. Providing power to major consumers in Mumbai, the plant has a list of first to its credit. 

It ensures uninterrupted power supply to Mumbai

Jojobera Power Plant

A 427.5 MW coal-based thermal power plant at Jojobera, near Jamshedpur, East Singhbhum district, Jharkhand. The plant is fully-functional

In addition to this Tata Power is also committed in its quest to deliver sustainable energy and is constantly setting up alternative energy plants utilizing Hydroelectricity, Solar power and Wind energy.
