Instagram, the social media platform with over 2.35 billion users globally according to latest data, is the place to be when following your favourite celebrities. With some celebrities having over 500 million followers on the platform, it’s fair to say that Instagram is a huge insight to a celebrity’s pulling power with the public.
After conducting this research study, some interesting insights were identified. Below are some of the top insights which came out of this research study:
- Miley Cyrus was the #1 ranked celebrity with approx 69k searches per month.
- Taylor Swift was the #2 ranked celebrity with approx 66k searches per month.
- Cardi B was the #3 ranked celebrity with approx 9.5k searches per month.
- The top 3 ranked celebrities by search volume were all female musicians from the USA with an average age of 32.
- 8 out of the top 10 ranked celebrities were female
- Only 2 reality TV stars made the top 10 ranked celebrity list
- The top 2 celebrities by total number of followers were both international football superstars (over 1 billion followers between them).
