Sweatband.com, the fastest-growing independent multichannel, multi-sports superstore has moved to drastically larger warehouse premises. The move will accommodate Sweatband.coms recession-busting growth, which is exceptional for retail in general and unique to sports retail in particular.
The new space, supplied by Sussex Transport, provides Sweatband.com with 300% additional square footage, sufficient to cater for the sports and fitness retailers forecast accelerating sales increase towards 2012.
Sweatband.coms low price, high service strategy has continued to secure exponential sales growth with latest figures recording a 60% increase in sales for February 2010 compared to February 2009, making the online and in-store sports retailer one of the UKs fastest-growing retail businesses.
Sweatband.com is also outsourcing its e-commerce management to sister company Neutron Logisitics. Neutron Logistics has been established to provide logistical solutions to retail businesses using its tried and tested proprietary e-commerce and warehouse platform Axion.
Axion, the end-to-end logistics and warehouse management solution, will streamline Sweatband.coms processes to drive down the average cost per transaction . Axion will establish greater efficiency and stock management within the business, creating service improvements and savings that will be passed on to Sweatband.coms growing constituency of loyal repeat customers.

Sweatband.com will now share premises with logistics firm Sussex Transport in Lancing, West Sussex. Sweatband.coms relationship with Sussex Transport has been established for several years during which time Sussex Transport has provided supplementary warehousing services.
The new partnership has strategic advantages for both organisations; Sweatband.com will be able to capitalise on Sussex Transports large-scale warehouse management expertise, while Sussex Transport will benefit from Axions technology to deliver more advanced e-commerce services. Sussex Transports clients include Lloyds TSB, Thomson Local and Sony DADC.
The warehouse move takes effect immediately.
