Family owned and run motor retail group Swansway, is supporting Children’s charity, Circus Starr, throughout 2016.
All Swansway sites, across the North West and West Midlands are now partnering with Circus Starr, a touring circus boasting world-class, professional artists from across the globe; founded in 1987 it provides free seats for thousands of disadvantaged, disabled or vulnerable children and their carers.
During 2016, for every vehicle Swansway sells on the Motability scheme, they’ll donate a pair of tickets, at a cost of £20, for a child and their carer to go to the circus. Based in Congleton, Circus Starr put on their show right across the country, working with children’s hospices and hospitals, Young Carers, foster children, SEN schools and Women’s Refuges to bring joy into the lives of children, who often have little to look forward to.
Swansway Group Director, David Smyth, attended the circus with his children to present a cheque for £3,600, representing the 180 Motability vehicles sold by Swansway in the first quarter of 2016.
David commented, “As a family owned business, we focus our charitable giving on children and young people. Circus Starr brings fun and magic into the lives of children, for whom life is a struggle and I’ve seen the smiles and heard the laughter, which tell me what a fantastic job this charity is doing. I’m proud that Swansway can help more children and their carers have a day to remember”.
