British stage and film actor Ryan McGregor has released his first hip hop song, “Waistcoat! British Man in America,” from the upcoming animated feature film, The Homework’s Revenge: Esther in Wonderland. Starring as Lil’ Livahpool in the cartoon, acted out as his human self on a green screen, Ryan raps from the eyes of an entitled Brit in Hollywood.
The song is a compelling amusement relating British culture to American life, as seen through the eyes of an entitled British multi-millionaire celebrity in Hollywood.
“Abs like art, six pack fit,” Ryan raps in its lyrical themes humouring listeners about Los Angeles women’s excessive use of “slap,” his “out of touch” Gucci shopping habits, and how “real men watch Manchester City” because “American football is for little girls.”
Ryan next stars as Lux Luthor in the UK produced fan film, Justice League Extinction, directed by Chris Hampshire. The song is available on streaming services through Britain and the globe from Spotify to Apple Music.
“Waistcoat! British Man in America” is written and produced by film director/film score composer Nicole Russin-McFarland through her Cinemat Nic Music publishing and released under the Lucky Pineapple Films label. The Homework’s Revenge: Esther in Wonderland is slated for a summer 2020 web release.
