Insignia Medical Systems, the pioneering UK based Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) provider, is pleased to announce that Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust has selected Insignia to provide a first class integrated PACS and Reporting Solution.
The Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, which manages some 745 beds, and treats over 640,000 patients per year, intend for the Insignia PACS to go-live across Reading Hospital and its local sites, which cover Bracknell, Townlands and West Berkshire, in November 2015.
Insignia’s solution covers the full suite of Insignia PACS functionality including the class-leading InSight 4D Viewer, regional sharing, home reporting and a zero-footprint HTML5 viewer; on top of which they will also provide integrated PACS reporting via the Soliton Reporting+ software.
Migration, using the Insignia Migration Service, of the 40TB of historical data from the existing PACS will begin immediately and will be completed before the go-live date later this year.
Richard Dormer, Managing Director, Insignia Medical Systems, commented “With over 250 UK sites already benefiting from our PACS and VNA solutions, we’re delighted to be selected as the PACS provider to another of our local hospitals, the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking forward to working together in partnership to deliver measurable benefits and improve patient care. New technologies such as our clinician-led sharing and home reporting capabilities will help transform the service.”
