Preston Solicitor's Singing Success
Local Solicitor Pauline Rigby is delighted to have won the + Factor Singing Award at the recent North West Society of Chartered Accountants Awards Dinner. Pauline who works for the Blackburn office of Lancashire law firm Forbes Solicitors fought off stiff competition with her accountancy related rendition of ‘Hallelujah’. The version of the song had been specifically written for the event by Daniel Milnes, Head of Business Law at Preston solicitors, Forbes.
Pauline who is from Oldham has never sung professionally but spent some time singing with a couple of bands whilst at university and has had some experience of performing at weddings and charity functions. Since qualifying as a Solicitor, Pauline hasn’t had time to do much singing until her return to the microphone at the awards dinner.
Pauline commented, “It is a great compliment that after such a long gap from performing people still enjoy my voice and I’m flattered to have won the award when up against some strong singers.”
John Green from Pierce Chartered Accountants who is the President of the North West Society of Chartered Accountants presented the award along with Mark Delaney from Begbies Traynor, who was award sponsors.
Pauline is an Associate in the Business Law team at Forbes, lawyers Preston, which has won Corporate Law Firm of the Year for the last two years at the Insider Lancashire Dealmaker awards.
