Native americans grow different grapes. Then the Germans and Italian developed the species later. In 1837, 10,000 gallons of wine were produced by the winemakers. The wine industry in Missouri is increasing rapidly. By 2008 there were 393 vineyards where in 1837 there the first vineyard was established.
