Press Release: April 19, 2010
A staggering 43 percent of all UK motorists polled revealed that they had no faith in the Labour, Conservatives, Liberal Democrats and Green Parties.
The Conservative party polled the biggest number of supporters with 37 percent of drivers surveyed believing that the Tories are the best option to protect the best interests of motorists. Labour lagged well behind in the survey, receiving just 11 percent of the vote with all political parties pressing ahead with their manifestos for the upcoming General Election on 6th May.
It is clearly a concern that almost half of the nations drivers fear that none of the main UK political parties can answer the concerns of those on the road. The poor quality of Britains roads following the particularly harsh wintry weather in the New Year left significant potholes and additional road damage that has caused a rise in UK car insurance claims.
The government has recently pledged financial support to repairing these potholes but it remains to be seen whether Labour will be given the opportunity to carry out its actions come 6th May.
