“Tree Fellas: Olly Oak” by Jon Gilbert is published

Beautifully-illustrated first story in the Tree Fellas series for children aged 4 – 8 with an environmentally friendly theme

About the Book:
Do you ever wonder what trees do when you are not watching, climbing or hiding underneath them? Their feelings, dreams and adventures?
Once you stop looking at them and your back is turned, Tree Fellas have fun and the adventures begin. When you look back, trees stand straight up in the same place as if they never moved.
Tree Fellas are unique, memorable characters consisting of trees, leaves, bark, flowers, fruit and nuts to help children recognise different species, including hand-drawn illustrations, photos, activities, facts and a log book to encourage interest in trees and environmental awareness amongst 4 - 8 year-olds. Teachers may wish to incorporate Tree Fellas into classroom learning.

Book review on Amazon:

Wordly Traveller

5.0 out of 5 stars A very timely children’s book!

25th August 2019
“We loved this story! The illustrations are fantastic and the series is aimed at teaching kids about ecology and how we need to look after our environment better.

I like the way this story is presented as children enjoy learning about nature in a fun, imaginative way.

Recommended! I think this book should be made available for kids to read in school, especially with the current focus on the damaging effects of climate change, the devastating fires in the rainforest in Brazil, and so on.

It's time for change, and we need to educate our young children more about our environment.”
