Press Release: February 24, 2010
Bury based Glowtec Ltd, announce the release of a new Hand Wash Training System, designed to help Schools minimise the impact to health of poor hand hygiene.
Based on its popular Wash & Glow System used within the NHS, Glowtecs New Wash & Glow Teacher has been produced exclusively for Schools, and on special promotion, comes in at just under £100 mark, making it affordable to even the smallest of Schools.
The children apply a small amount of special hand lotion, which is completely safe and non-toxic. The Ultra-violet (UV) Toucan lamp is then used to illuminate their hands which glow bright green! The children are then encouraged to wash their hands normally and then place them back under the lamp, to highlight those areas not washed properly. After teacher has shown them the correct method of hand washing, theyll repeat the process until there are no more glowing bits.
With so many bugs affecting schools across the country, its time for more teaching and less preaching says Mike Blackburn; Glowtec MD. Its important we teach our children how to wash their hands properly; an essential life-skill they can use to protect themselves now and for the rest of their life.
Swine Flu (H1N1) germs can survive for up to several hours on surfaces and may cross-infect anyone who comes into contact with them during this time. When you consider the obvious health and hygiene benefits to be had, this is excellent time to introduce hand-wash training into schools, continues Mike. Using a safe and non-toxic system like this to teach children how to wash their hands properly, makes it good fun and memorable, which is vital if they are to remember the techniques for years to come. Believe me, kids and grown-ups love to see their hands glow bright green, and its something theyll always remember.
