Press Release: March 24, 2010
The organisation, part of the regeneration charity renew, staged two events where almost 50 sub-contractors from across the city met with procurement and supply chain representatives from Bovis Lend Lease.
Those attending the event, which was held at re-news offices in Mabgate Mills, were given an insight into the mechanisms of Bovis Lend Leases procurement department, as well as learning more about Construction Leedss role in identifying training and job opportunities and helping local companies win work in the city.
Construction Leeds Alison Mather said: Sub-contractors often complain that they never get the opportunity to meet face to face with major contractors such as Bovis Lend Lease.
Through this event we were able to give them that golden opportunity. Major contractors rely on the diverse skills and flexibility of sub-contractors to help deliver completed schemes.
We are grateful to the Bovis Lend Lease team for sparing their time. These were two very useful and informative sessions.
