Ron Abuelo has teamed up with The UK’s leading consumer event for rum related news, activities and tastings, RumFest, and will be giving away five pairs of tickets for Sunday 18th to some lucky rum enthusiasts. Ron Abuelo has emerged as a bartender favourite in recent years with the brand offering a range of aged rums, from 5 to 30 years old. Añejo 5 offers a blend of selected aged rums and the house speciality. It’s patiently matured in small oak barrels and easily distinguished by its mellow, rich and smooth flavour. Añejo 7 is aged for seven years in carefully selected small oak barrels to develop a seductive, distinctly rounded and exceptional taste. Añejo 12 is the great reserve of the distillery. Sublime distillation, the best selection of white oak barrels and the passing of long periods of time in the unique Panamanian climate have resulted in this extraordinary product.
This year’s RumFest will be located at the ILEC Conference Centre in London and will run from Saturday 17th through to Sunday 18th October. Ron Abuelo will have a presence this year with its very own stand, stand number 17, so make sure you drop by!
The festival was founded in 2007 by Global Rum Ambassador Ian Burrel, who having worked as a bartender since 1990 was keen to promote rum as a drink. The UK RumFest is a pioneer in its field and has led to the influence of rum festivals and fairs all over the world. Visitors will embark on a rum fuelled journey, discovering over 400 of the most diverse rums from across the globe as well as uncovering a few very special treasures that will take part in RumFest’s own successful Golden Tot initiative launched only last year.
The brand new and exclusive Golden Tot initiative was introduced with the primary intention of inviting people to sample a selection of ultra-premium and rare blends of rum, some of which aren’t available to buy or drink anywhere else in the world.
