Red Tempa Unleashes Back to Reality

Press Release: April 07, 2010

Neil Olsson, AKA Red Tempa began developing his ability to tell stories at the young age of 14, since then he has adopted various musical influences from living in Germany, California, and also the UK. His style entwines the energy of German techno, with the poetic and melodic features of UK pop and Californian Hip Hop.

9 years on, at the age of 23 Red Tempa signed a deal with Cellar Records, leading to him pursuing a pro-active role in promoting messages in his music to stand against the glorification of drugs, gun crime and other stereotypical negative attributes associated with hip hop. His work has previously been aired on BBC 1Xtra, Five Live, The Frank Group, and many others with great reviews. Recently his song Song Lost Souls was handed to Sir Richard Branson, who used it on loop for a video played on a big screen in
Derby city centre.

The song Back to Reality is being backed by music marketing consultant Marcus Taylor of Starharbour Music Marketing PR, who has recently reviewed the song on his music reviews blog.

Marcus said: The song highlights Red Tempas influences from both sides of the Atlantic perfectly by entwining the Californian hip hop genre with a UK trance style, the contrast between the two styles is phenomenal and gives this song one hell of an edge.
