Press Release: June 28, 2019
We have Rugby champions available for an interview this Friday, both play for the London based Saracens & internationally for England & Wales. They are both available on Friday 28th June from 8am-12pm.
Two of British rugby’s most experienced players, stars with the reigning European and Premiership champions Saracens, Dominic Day and George Kruis– who have undergone a string of operations after suffering sporting injuries during their careers, and have used CBD products to help them recover from their injuries.
In two weeks’ time (from 28th June), one of the UK’s biggest trade show venues, London ExCeL, will play host for the first time to an expo showcasing the ‘CBD’ industry.
You may not have heard of it, but to the thousands of delegates attending, and the dozens of international speakers and exhibitors converging on the capital to take part, it is already well-known and established as a flourishing business sector.
CBD, also known as cannabidiol, is an active ingredient in marijuana that is said to provide relief to patients without getting them high, as a supplement. Now legal to purchase over the counter in the UK, the number of users stand around 300,000-500,000.
CBD is a naturally occurring compound found in the resinous flower of cannabis, a plant with a rich history as a medicine. New research shows that some people are using CBD products to treat PMS and menstrual pain, insomnia, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue.
Attendees at ExCeL will be able to join panel discussions featuring experts from the CBD industry, helping remove some stigma surrounding the sector.
Saracens stars Dom and George say they launched their company, FourFiveCBD as a response to demand from fellow athletes, coaches and medical teams who’ve seen the benefits of CBD, but have, until now, had concerns about the provenance of products.
Dom & George say: “Between us we have 20 years’ experience in professional sport and have been under the surgeon's knife 12 times. We have played and trained through pain and injury more often than we would have liked.
“We use CBD as part of the daily routine in our rugby careers. It helps us maintain a healthy lifestyle throughout the highs and lows of professional sport. Now we want to spread the word about the benefits of CBD, and as founders of ‘FourFive’, we are committed to offering the highest-grade CBD products available, specifically designed to help people maintain an active lifestyle. “
