Q1 Labs First to Solve Integration Challenge Between Risk Management and Security Incident Response
Integration and continuing innovation driven by over 1,000 customers and industry-leading partners worldwide
Waltham, Mass. March 15, 2010 Q1 Labs, a global provider of total security intelligence solutions, today announced QRadar Risk Manager, the first solution to successfully integrate risk management, SIEM, log management, and network behavior analysis, providing IT departments with the ability to assess vulnerabilities pre-, during, and post-exploit. QRadar Risk Manager has been developed to leverage and extend the value of a SIEM deployment and greatly improve an organizations ability to automate risk management functions in mission critical areas, including network and security configuration, policy, and compliance management.
This product has been four years in the making, having started as an advanced research project at the Security Centre of Excellence at The University of New Brunswick (UNB), followed by several years of development by our in-house engineers, said Shaun McConnon, CEO of Q1 Labs. QRadar Risk Manager is totally integrated with QRadar SIEM, providing enterprises with pre- and post-exploit views and analysis in real time, on a single console.
QRadar Risk Manager provides automated risk intelligence through the delivery of:
Extended compliance and policy verification, leveraging configuration data and out-of-the-box compliance libraries for more than 100 PCI, HIPAA, FISMA, NERC, CobiT, NIST, etc. mandates
Automated firewall configuration reports and audits to reduce operational complexity
Advanced predictive threat visualization, assessment, modeling, and impact analysis
Advanced risk policy monitoring and assessment, and highly intelligent network and security visualizations and vulnerability prioritization
What Q1 Labs is doing with Risk Manager is innovative. I have been asking for a product like this for years, but no one has been able to deliver until now, said Jeff Dalton, technical operations officer, Regulus Group LLC. Two-thirds of the Fortune 50 are Regulus customers that require regular compliance reporting. Q1 Labs ability to conduct network configuration monitoring and auditing would cut our workload down significantly with just the automated compliance assessments alone.
"QRadar Risk Manager is addressing the growing demand to provide visibility into the full lifecycle of compliance and risk management for network and security infrastructures," said Mike Harding, vice president and general manager, Juniper Networks Junos Space Business Unit. "Q1 Labs is a long-term partner that has been working closely with Juniper, and going forward our customers will be able to gain the benefit of this solution rapidly and seamlessly within the Junos Space environment."
Other vendors have attempted to provide pre-threat modeling, but have not been successful due to their lack of security intelligence context they dont leverage the value of fully integrated SIEM and network activity. QRadar Risk Manager provides organizations and government agencies with a comprehensive network security solution, not only allowing them to get the forensics of the during and the after of an attack, but also enabling them to answer the What if? ahead of time, minimizing the risk on their networks and operations. The product also includes automated templates for compliance auditing, enabling companies to test devices pre-deployment to see if they would be knocked out of compliance.
With QRadar Risk Manager, Q1 Labs is addressing a growing demand to increase the footprint of a next-generation SIEM, including the ability to provide pre-threat intelligence," said Michele Araujo, director of product management, Enterasys Networks. "Q1 Labs is a long-term partner that has been working closely with Enterasys to integrate technologies that deliver timely and strategic solutions to our customers around the world.
With this new product, IT managers will be able to simulate threats against their data centers and networks in anticipation of advanced cyber attacks; they will also be able to simulate the introduction of new applications, allowing them to see the impact of vulnerabilities that could arise before certain aspects of a network are changed. Simply stated, QRadar Risk Manager provides customers with the industrys most comprehensive level of threat, fraud and risk visibility.
Price and Availability:
QRadar Risk Manager starts at $30,000 and will be available in Q2, 2010.
