Watford - 9 June 2015 - Procare Building Services today announced the appointment of former Jarvis Contracting Managing Director, Steve Cook, to the role of Divisional Managing Director of Construction and Special Projects. Steve, who has spent more than 40 years at Jarvis, joins Procare at a critical point in the company’s development as it looks to build upon recent growth and accelerate the expansion of its Construction Division.
Steve’s construction industry experience spans over four decades, all of which took place at Jarvis. He joined the company as a 16 year old apprentice carpenter and within two years had made the move into Site Management. He continued to progress through the Jarvis Training Programme holding the roles of Contracts Manager and Construction Director before being promoted to Managing Director in 2000, a role which he held for over 14 years.
Commenting on the appointment David Williams, Group Managing Director of Procare Building Services said: “To bring in someone with Steve’s talent and experience is testament to the hard work put in by the team that we already have in place here at Procare. “We have ambitious growth plans for our Construction Division and we believe that Steve is the right person to take us to the next level.”
New Construction Divisional Managing Director, Steve Cook said: “My goal was to join a company that I could influence and have a real impact upon and in Procare I think I’ve found the ideal match. It’s a well-established with an excellent reputation and huge potential and I am looking forward to the opportunity to strengthen and grow its Construction Division,” adds Steve.
Steve will be based at Procare’s head office in Watford.
