Pro-tect Alarms sees growing demand for its HomeAssist wireless alarm systems

Press Release: May 20, 2015

UK wireless homecare technology company, Pro-tect Alarms, is reporting a steady growth in sales for its new homecare wireless alarm system, HomeAssist.

Developed as a telecare monitoring alarm system, HomeAssist offers extra protection and support for those who require extra assistance to live independent lives.

Howard Mann, Operations Manager at Pro-tect Alarms states: “HomeAssist is one of four new monitoring alarm systems that have been designed using the latest in wireless technology.

“We are receiving more and more enquiries from people looking for a system that offers around-the-clock protection for either themselves or for a loved one. We believe the growing number of new enquiries is impacting on the steady growth in online sales through our website.”

Pro-tect’s HomeAssist works similarly to the firm’s other wireless alarm systems: HomeAlert, HomeAlone and StudentAlert; HomeAssist however has been designed specifically to help and support people who need extra assistance living independent lives at home.

Anthony Carney, Head of Research & Development at Securahomes, the parent company that owns Pro-tect Alarms states: “We have looked at the needs of our customers and believe HomeAssists contributes directly to their quality of life.

“HomeAssist gives around-the-clock monitoring by reacting instantly to an alarm being triggered. This gives the user confidence and assurance knowing that someone will react when the user needs them too.”

How the system works:
1, HomeAssist can be triggered by panic and emergency alarms, smoke or motion detectors.
2, The hub immediately sends a signal directly to a UK-based secure monitoring station.
3, Within seconds of an alarm being triggered an incident manager will respond and assess the situation, calling a key holder or the emergency services, depending on the reason for the activation.

A unique selling point is just how quick and easy the system is to install. It doesn't require any specialist knowledge and all monitoring devices attach and communicate wirelessly to the central hub, which plugs directly into the mains. The user can also add up to 18 additional wireless monitoring accessories to ensure the system is completely bespoke to their specific needs.
